26 Palestinians Killed and Injured by the Armed Forces in Rafah Explosion

Military sources revealed details of the attack on one of the military ambushes in the city of Rafah in northern Sinai on Friday morning and resulted in the death and wounding of 26 army forces, as well as dozens of gunmen belonging to the branch of the organization calling the terrorist.The sources said that more than 20 four-wheel drive vehicles loaded with about 150 militants attacked the ambush.According to the sources, the attack began with a car bomb - a government car seized by the organization before - followed by an attack with medium and light weapons and RPG shells, the security center located in the village of Al-Barth, south of the border city of Rafah.The sources added that the force of the ambush held up until it reached ground and air reinforcements, although the number of soldiers was much less than the number of militants.The sources praised the bravery of the soldiers who prevented the collapse of the ambush completely and fall into the hands of militants. The sources confirmed that the ambush is still standing and that its commander, Major Ahmed Fahim of the lightning forces oversees the forces in it.The sources said that the warplanes managed as soon as arrival destroyed more than six SUVs while trying to escape in the desert routes.The army was able to kill more than 40 members of the terrorist organization. The sources said that among the martyrs were the colonel of the war Ahmed Mansi, commander of the 103 battalion Thunderbolt in Rafah.The military spokesman said that the attack came after the forces succeeded in "foiling a terrorist attack on the Takfiri elements on some points of concentration south of Rafah, killing more than 40 recruits and destroying six vehicles."
